The Fat Boys Anniversary For "Crushin" Album!

It's been 30 years since The Fat Boys released their fourth album. On August 14, 1987 "Crushin" was released as The Fat Boys breakout album into mainstream. After starring in 1985 film Krush Groove, the group was determined to heighten their profile. In 1987, The Fat Boys gained a breakout single with "Wipe Out" which included The Beach Boys singing back-up vocals. The single peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s R&B chart and No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their hit single helped the album be categorized as Pop and reached No. 4 on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart for that year. Crushin is certified platinum in sales and is their best selling album to date!
